    After a quick registration we drove along to our 'Ocean View' site (#40). To our horror, the site was already occupied! Bloody good start! So we immediately circled back to reception, noting, with a growing sense of foreboding, that the park was completely full.     ... coast to San Ysidro to explore what is down there. What we found wasn’t really inspiring. It is right at the border crossing to Tijuana. There was a huge pedestrian overpass that led to the Mexican border. We hadn’t brought our passports so we didn’t go. On the US side there is little to recommend. It was money exchanges, fast food restaurants, cell phone stores, and shoe stores. We tried to find a restaurant for lunch but there were only the fast food chains. ...

    ... way people live, money seems to be dripping from the palm trees here. We had lunch at a mall in the downtown and the stores reflected the affluence in the area. There was every type of high end store you can think of, even high end cars for sale.
