Visit Elsa before she delivers our grandchild

First port of call - Visit Elsa and Ken who are about to become first-time parents at the end of December. We're very excited to meet our new grandchild, probably by Skype the first time, in late December. Our travels will take us to Florida, Texas, Arizona and Utah, with a possible trip to India in May to celebrate Eugenie's 50th. birthday.

The bump is very big!

Last Entry from Home!!!

We got up at 6 am and had our last breakfast in Venice. This has been a wonderful trip and I am sad to see it end.

We headed for the airport at 10:30 am. No dragging our suitcase across the cobblestones this time. We had a taxi pickup our luggage at the hotel. He had a cart and moved the bags. Drive to the airport was about 20 minutes. Once ...

Soon after checking in I phoned a couple of relatives to confirm our meeting the next morning. We were going to Aurora, Ontario, to visit my Grandma at a home for the elderly. The plan was that other relatives from the area would meet us there as well since we were so limited for time.

I wondered if my ...

... flashbacks (of the campfires, of swimming at the beach, of crafts on the picnic tables, of flying a kite that I made that same day...I kept it up high in the sky until dark. I also remembered dressing up like a bright red lobster and painting my face with lipstick to star in the Lester the Lobster skit.) Incredible how vivid memories are sometimes. Anyway, so I'm walking around the campsite and the last cabin I come to is Lake, and it's FULL of stuff for a ...

it doesn't end here...

After a long 7 and a half hour flight Leaving Canada landing in Gatwick London airport I found myself alone and waiting. Excited as I was and not knowing a thing about England my first experience of British culture was not that welcoming at all to say the least. Tired, Alone, and wondering when that boy would show. Curious of this new life I had coming for me, I stepped off the coach bus and had a drunken man yell in my face...................

Oh Canada!!!!

... we went travelling. Next time we travel it will be for a shorter time, or we will be going to another country to work. Travelling in certainly interesting, but not always rewarding as we felt like we were taking and watching and not giving. I think we learned alot, and will keep growing as we process all our experiences. We enjoyed spending the time together! Thanks for not blocking our travelpod, and we will put together a slide show on our return. Hugs, stacey and marty
