Well another weekend has flown by and our return date gets closer and closer God willing.
Friday afternoon we left Houston about 3pm and headed for Fredericksburg - about 3 hours drive away - arriving around 6pm. The drive was pretty uneventful, though after about two hours' driving we noticed a few hills becoming a part of the landscape and the scenery becoming more green and treed.

We left Luckenbach and ventured south through Kerrville toward Bandera. We detoured to visit my great uncle's former ranch on Turtle Creek where I visited many times as a youth to hunt, fish and swim in the spring fed crystal clear water.
