from Blue Ridge Lake. We all set up camp and with a little day light to spare,
we all took a swim in the warm, Georgian fresh water. That evening we ate like
royalty. Kelsey and I had two pounds of jumbo shrimp (never frozen, always
fresh) from Tybee Island Georgia. We cooked them over the camp fire in white

Thao was terrified of the rope swing but finally ended up jumping off it. Mika and Matt both also mustered up the courage to jump. What a hoot!

Day 2: Tubing with Gator Tubes at Deep Creek. $3/tube
Gator Tubes is one of the first rental places u see on the road to Deep Creek. Run by a retired probation officer, they charmed us with their warm Southern hospitality. Lifejackets for the 2 little ones were an extra $5 each. They tied the tubes on top of our van and off we went!

... br> Phan did fall out of his raft once and I almost fell out when I was too busy trying to take photos to concentrate. It was super fun but very exhausting as we had to paddle very hard to get through the rapids without getting stuck. Was tempted to rent the 2-person duckies instead of the raft because they are supposed to be easier to maneuver - but stuck with the cheapest option.
