Hi everyone, Colbie here! I have some pictures to show you as well as some stories to tell about some of the things we have done or places we have gone over the last 10 days. Two places in particular that were very cool were the Garden of the Gods Park (which was literally right behind our campground in Pikes Peak, CO) and then Creede, CO.
One of our last days in Pikes Peak, we decided to go to the Garden of the Gods Park. ...
Sheila and I headed into Creede, CO. This is a small town of about 290 - an old west town. Once we arrived, we walked the three square blocks of the town. I found a decent price t-shirt for my souvenir. After that we headed to the Mine Museum and Gift Shop. Creede and the area around Creede use to be a silver mining town. We decided that the hope of splendid views just wasn’t enough to compensate for being uncomfortable being in that position so we opted out of the guided trip. Instead the plan is that we are still going to rent the jeep but instead of a more strenuous off road trip we ...
