... enjoyed a hot beverage while the crew sorted, cleaned and bagged our catches. A clever system of colored ties insured which fish belonged to whom. A fish processor was at the dock to meet us and we made arrangements to have our fish flash frozen and shipped to Dex's brother in Washington State. We had 32 lbs. of cleaned fish fillets after all was said and done.

My first act on waking was to get out the binoculars as it was a glorious day, and to my delight the first thing I saw was a small raft of sea otters. (I love watching those creatures, and had tried hard to find a fridge magnet to commemorate my sightings but couldn’t find one anywhere, sadly).

Apparently Huskies are actually too big a dog, they're slower and they don't have that "love to run" attitude that a good sled dog needs. All the other sled dogs we saw today looked like mutts. All very lean too but they get looked after well.

By the way, 150 dogs in one location ... it don't smell like your Nanna's apple pie but was pretty clean considering! Anyway, we went and sat in the "sled" and the dogs were going ...

All in all we thing we have seen somewhere between 20 - 25 bears. We see several sows with cubs, both twins and triplets! It is soooooo cool to see those cute faces! Some of these bears are huge! They tell us that we are not a threat and since they have so much food right now, ...
