I have no idea how I would have felt about the city if it were it's "normal" weather of gray skies and off-and-on rain showers, I couldn't even imagine missing out on the spotless views of the city from Arthur's Seat (which I highly recommend)...I just found it so refreshing to feel so connected to nature in such a modern ...

It has since been expanded inside to include memorials to Scottish soldiers who have died in the U.K. forces in World War II and subsequent conflicts (most recently Afghanistan).

The Belgian guy started talking quite loudly at the end of our row and eventually started heckling loudly that IM had never been there and he was Belgian and a sound guy there and Gwool was a liar. IN the end. Comedian 1 - Heckler £12 down and booted. I google pukkel and found the Mr Wool to be correct. Funny thing is I don't expect comedians to be telling me the truth all the time... but this time truth wins ...

· Loads of online deals, but I honestly would recommend where we stayed: Bill’s Gambling hall and Saloon! It’s pretty grotty downstairs, but the rooms are really nice, big and quiet, and it’s bang smack opposite the Ballagio fountains for only 30 quid a night, fantastic.

... just amazing) and bought some gifts for my family. Finally got back into London around 11pm that night, ready to go back to work the next day.

Overall, I really enjoyed Edinburgh, but would not really recommend the whole Hogmanay thing. Our tour was a waste of money, unless you just wanted tour guides that could take you to the pub and get you drunk for the whole time. But ah well, live and learn I say, and I will most definitely enjoy my next New Years back in the Aussie heat.
