... with the various layers clearly visible. In some parts there is no Jurassic rocks, only Triassic with the younger Cretaceous over the top. Apparently as a result of changes in sea levels during this time. Not quite sure how accurate this all was. ... to. It is on hilly land and we have lovely rural views from our windows. Decided to go and visit Killerton House, an estate close to where we are staying. It was built in 1778 for the Acland family. Although rather grand compared to houses of the vast majority of the population, it was not pretentious or overly opulent, fairly modest size, and had a relaxed feel about it. ... there on Tuesday so that's what I did. Got lost in this huge park. Ended up walking every possible trail to get to a ruin on top of a hill. Finally made it, after 3 1/2h. Of course was the path to the ruin the easiest one but I didn't mind getting lost since the view on top of the other hills are amazing. I got great photos as well. We've had a fantastic weekend. Started Saturday with a huge breakfast and then a long walk down to Kenfig park which is like 45 min walk from Pyle.
