After an interesting meal in the Pandora cafe (perhaps we should have taken the hint when the proprietor looked shocked that we walked in the door) we strolled down to the harbour. ... Mother always took a cooked chicken with us on holiday, but as some of you well know, if we're travelling on a train, we'll have a chicken to munch on. When the time arrives, we'll do all we can to avoid the toshiba! ... to say all of our goodbyes to family and friends but i'm sure it wont be long before we see you all again ��

We are now at a campsite in Poole for a couple of nights before the grand depart on Saturday morning......feeling chilled with a glass of wine and wondering what the next few months have in store for us.

... back in Bristol. That was easily accomplished within the first 30 minutes. We pulled up in the lay-by specifically reserved for acquiring change for the toll and scampered to the bridge for a few photos. Naughty. Then it was over the bridge paying our one puns toll to the next stop at Bath, or more specifically the Pump Rooms, Bath. We don't really have time to actually walk round these places and we certainly don't have the budget to pay entry fees, so to visit Bath ...

... that overlooks the ocean and the magnificent cliffs and rugged rock formations. It reminded us much of the Oregon Coast.

We drove home yesterday, a journey which takes about 5 hours, plus time for lunch,
petrol, etc. We managed to get into the south-east on a Friday afternoon. Actually it wasn’t as bad as we anticipated. We had fairly smooth traffic, even on the M-25 (Europe’s biggest parking lot).
