Today after a leisurely morning, we drove to Folkston - one of the entrances to Okefenokee swamp. It was a bit of a challenge getting there since the directions weren't clear and the gps didn't recognize the address. Drove to Jekyl Island first today. Arrived around 1:30. Drove to the far side of the island to a picnic area and had lunch. We enjoyed a walk along the driftwood beach and took pictures of some of the interesting driftwood specimens. We were on the road again by 3:00 - heading to Waycross, Georgia. It was a nice easy drive to General Coffee State Park in Nicholls, Ga. The park is nice but only 2 other campers beside the host are here. All the sites are pull-thrus with water and electric only. We are relaxing before we go see our grandchildren in Crawfordville, Florida.

... that comes with being a Friend on Georgia State Parks. Due to my age, we also get a twenty percent discount on a campsite and ten percent off of any merchandise we purchase. We checked out the straw hats in the store and each fell for a hat to our liking. Lynn's is a wide brimmed summer hat and mine is another Gamblers Fedora. Pictures will appear as they will.
