... The child in me was revealed again, as I bought a PlayStation 2 Slim and some second hand games. The PlayStation was cheaper than RSA and the games are second hand. They have a swap shop where you can get money for your old games, blah blah.

We really got to know our nephew and niece, and they us. Of course they are our kids as well. Since we have been here, Kimberley and Fraser ...

... had packed the bags with every thing the idiot decided it was maybe a good idea to actually leave the big bags here at the hotel and only take a change of clothes "after all it is only for one night and we are coming back to the hotel" he said, well if looks could kill he would be dead but the one thing i have discovered with this idiot is he has this uncanny knack of doing the wrong thing at the right time and getting away with it. so the bags were left at the hotel and we ...

... learn all about wine. Then we went to the village of Tanunda for coffee on our way to Peter Lehmann Wines. He, the founder, was a very interesting person by the sound of it. He started the winery about 1960 (?) because the company where he was winemaker became very big and didn't support the local growers. His winery gave work to the growers weho provided grapes for him and still do 40+ years later. On ...

Adelaide 2 - A weekend of fun with Charlie and Sue

... hills to the lookout point. The views were spectacular - it looked like an oasis of patchwork green fields amongst the brown fields. From up there you could clearly see the many wineries with the large vats for holding the gallons of wine that are produced. At the lookout point too, there was a really nice sculpture garden with large monoliths of rock and marble. We spent a few minutes taking funny photos of each other posing with ...

... Valley and I drove us around from there so Mum and Davo could drink. We went to my favorite 2 wineries from my last visit. To Rockfords and then to Langmeils - both as nice as I remembered them and Davo got a bottle from each place. Then we got some food in a Chateau where some girls were playing croquet. It was a nice platter of cheese and at this point the weather was lovely so it was good to sit out. After here we drove to our 3rd winery which I had been before - I just didnt ...

Many thanks to our fine hosts; Steve & Chris Hoff and LeAnne! We had a wonderful stay! The cottage has both old world charm and modern convience.

Barossa Valley - The Wine Trail Begins

... day of our first trip and we once again out nice and early and headed for Torquay which seemed like a long way to go to me but turned out to be only 40km's down the road! Carly got into a very interesting conversation with an old timer about the benefits of coal fires which kept us amused for half an hour. We then headed on to Geelong as we were looking to park up not to far from Melbourne with the van due back early doors the next day. We decided it was finally time for us to ...

... is the biggest industry in SA, first vines were planted in about 1840 by German settlers, the area's original Spanish name was Barrosa, two r's till some one chap misspelt the name on a official document, thus you now drop a r and add an s! Even though the wines were a little technically a little better the tour was not half as much fun as the Wine for Dudes tour in Margaret river where there was a much more festive atmosphere ...

Into the Barossa

... Land (in the Northern Territories on the coast). We went back to their sharehouse for dinner, courtesy of their housemate Luke. They live with three others in a house much like Emily and I did in college. After dinner was settled we changed and walked the short distance to the Komodo Lounge. It was down a little alley and into a building behind the storefronts, and we later figured that it used to be a garage. The place was great. It had ...
