We bought a truck to carry the camper today! It needs a little work, but seems basically strong. Once we get it travel-ready, we need to go to Arizona to pick up the camper.
In other news today, we also decided to rent out our house (rather than selling), and selected a property management company.
A huge progress day!
... but we still were amazed by the size! First was a walk on the stadium admiring the astroturf and craning our necks to see the top rows of seats. Next we entered the cheer girls change rooms. ... after we said our goodbyes and thank you's we took our tired and somewhat sick children to the dining room. Tonight on the menu was 'breaded chicken breast' (a chicken nugget) and salad. It was ok, and we got more than what we paid for-considering it was free! The children ate nothing but croutons which was disappointing, but I was pretty tired so wanted to get them to bed without too much more ...
... mother moment! We returned to Bruce and Judy's for lunch Southern Chicken and rice. Judy (who has 18 grandchildren ranging from 21 years old down to 4 years old) was surprised by how much food my children eat, and that they eat whatever you put in front of them - another proud mother moment! After lunch we took a trip to Walmart- now we have really seen America. Its a supermarket, Big W, hardware store, baby ...
... oven!!) and a short test drive, Mac the Motorhome (so named as he is a
Chevrolet Fleetwood) 20 years old and with 90k miles on the clock was purchased
for the grand old price of $7k. With a
partial clean that weekend, Mac was parked up again at the Church of the Good
Shepherd under the care of Pastor Bill for another 2 weeks until we could return
on Sunday to claim her.
