Our last day in the USA. Ian had another swim and then it was time to pack. That accomplished, we went to visit the Arboretum which was fantastic. There has been a huge pumpkin display (with thousands of pumpkins) for the month of October and come mid -November there will be 12 pavilions for the 12 days of Christmas. ... Turned out Dallas had bought an old Melbourne W class tram back in the 1985 and now use it as a trolley car. It's called 'Matilda'. Once finished riding the tram, after having watched it turn around on the turn table, we wandered over to the garden that has been built on top off the freeway opposite the Museum. I should be heading to the airport right now, but the Air France pilots' strike cancelled my flight to Paris, twice. Re-booking again, at best, would have caused me to fly into Kinshasa just to spend the night and leave the next morning....

So I plan to try again in November.

We arrived here at our Thousand Trails Lake Tawakoni RV Resort (outside of Dallas) on Monday, after a 4+ hour drive from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Got all set up, and decided we'll head out to Denton and Alvarado tomorrow to look at the motorhomes they have in inventory. Fingers were crossed!
On Tuesday, we went to 2 dealers, and saw one coach (a Damon Tuscany) that we liked quite a bit, but it just didn't really satisfy all ...
