... world flight was not really worth the couple of hundred dollars saved, though it had seemed so when we booked it 9 months ago! The immigration process was abysmal too. Of 18 'windows' available for non-US citizens, only 6 at the most were staffed, while there were constantly over 500 people in queues. It took well over an hour, only to be greeted by a grumpy officious man who only spoke mono-syllabically. Until he finally said 'welcome to America'. Hilary had given us ...
... me is the amount of exposure from overhanging rock on some of these routes. And there are a lot of 'easy' routes that get these overhanging kind of climbs.

I'm hoping to be able to return there soon for a small get away vacation and just be able to put all of our **** behind us... Oh would be ...
That's right... three nights in a row without internet!
The first, at Monticello, their internet had gone down. The next, it was so slow I couldn't even access e-mails. Last night I was on the road.
But I assure you I have some great things to tell you all about my visit to Walkill, particularly Patterson and, finally, Brooklyn.
I should get these ready tonight... thanks for your patience.
