1230am about 5600 our mileage reads... So about 200 miles in about three hours. Not too bad, with one potty stop for Kody and the Bus Driver grabbed a snack and looked at the map. I can't say I didn't have the occasional thought of being disemboweled by a bear, but mostly I took pleasure in the serene silence of the woods and observing the sun dappled forest milieu. I was disappointed when it was time to head back, but I didn't want to miss the end of Tim's race.
Back at Windham Mountain, we waited at the finish line until Tim crossed, his face determined but his body, I imagine, ...

... was just us again and Matt cooked up a barbecue of hamburgers and hot dogs to celebrate the end of the holiday weekend.
After lunch we drove to a nearby river and hired kayaks. It was a glorious warm and sunny day and we had a great time on the water.
We then headed back to the house to pack and head home.

So we stocked up and headed back to the house, relaxing and beginning to prepare food.
Later in the afternoon, friends of the Goldbergs' - Kate (an American) and her Australian husband Christian arrived with their two sons Will and Dash. The boys quickly made friends with the other kids and we all went back to the Carnival for a shot time.
