... looked up "list of boroughs in Dauphin County" on Wikipedia. There's no sign of there being another town right across the river. But sure enough, across the bridge is a laid back no sidewalk community. Not sure what the history of this place is--seems like a highly likely area for flooding, as here's where the Swatara meets the mighty Susquehanna River.
The only real claim ...

Post-visit: Past the Airport

... I suddenly find myself in a very generic, peaceful middle class suburb... feels far, far detached from the industrial decay and ghetto feel of the riverside below... Highspire wasn't all that inspiring back in 2007--nor is it today. there is a nice shady gazebo where I can take a rest before continuing on my long, sun-scorched stretch past the airport and on to Middletown. Doesn't really deserve a concert, but, hey, it's a borough, so I'm counting it. Only memorable thing are the new "gutter gardens" on the sides of ...

1 hr, 2 kms Next I meander up north, under the freeway to Camp Hill, to the park I played in back in December of 2007. Take a couple more pictures of the quaint old town hall and the flowers and stream in the park--don't really feel like loitering much longer... Next I set my sails east towards ...
