Reset the GPS for Hershey Gardens but it took us to Hershey Hotel. The gardens were not far away but the weather was threatening. It cost $11 for adults and less for kids as well as $10 each for a treasure hunt for the kids which had a gardening tool as a prize for finishing. Enjoying the morning with Uncle Dee. After a great breakfast at Bob Evans needed to run off some sausage gravy. Had a blast at the Army Heritage Museum running through the barracks and talking to soldiers. It was amazing. ... thing I did come across on my side trip was the Andrew Schriver Homestead, with a short anecdote of its purchase. Andrew Schriver was an apprentice shoemaker and tanner wo saved up 45 dollars and bought with it 100 acres of land--with the promise that he'd make 100 pairs of shoes as part of the deal! Wonder how many pairs of shoes this farm is worth now...
