... cap. At first we didn't realize he was an officer, however he carried a side arm and tazer. We approached him and I asked if he'd mind if I took a photo. Andrew introduced himself as a police officer and asked about the uniform. The Officer explained that the pants and cap were a form of protest across a number of government agencies against the City wanting to cut retirement pensions.

Today was a good day exploring Vermont. We saw lots of great covered bridges. Designed like this to stop the bridges getting icy and also to preserve their longevity. ... catch our Amtrak train to New York. The train was only 7 minutes late - in Amtrak terms that's not late! By the time we left church the fog had cleared and its now a glorious sunny day. I was able to take a few photos of Bethel as the train passed through on its way south. ... multi millionaire who likes his privacy. I could take some photos but am not allowed to put them on Facebook (or this blog :( ). The farm has goats, Scottish cows, and horses. There are 8 miles of riding trails which Caleb has to maintain. The houses on the property are also amazing. It was a lovely sunny still afternoon and it was a privilege to see the farm. Today Lin took another day off from school to show us more of Vermont. We headed west over to Rochester first so that we could meet Lin's sister Sue.
