... car wash to wash off the mud on the car (oh boy, you should see the mud on the car! :-)). We got to Kamiak Butte around 6pm. It turned out this butte was quite different from Steptoe. We would have to hike up the trail to the top which we did not do today. We then drove to Pullman and back to Colfax. The weather turned much better towards the evening. As the sun went down, it shed golden light on everything! Just gorgeous! We definitely will need to pick a spot ...

One of the best days I have had on this trip. It was a 115 mile ride from Walla Walla to Pullman and I was apart of one of the two pacelines that made the entire ride, 6 people total. When we finally made it to Colfax, we were relieved to find a clean, modern hotel room awaiting us. I have to say, it was probably the cleanest hotel we have stayed at throughout this whole vacation! While checking in, we heard the receptionist tell 2 callers they were full. We were truly blessed to have found the Best Western Plus Wheatland in Colfax, WA when we did!
