... the way out of Palouse, there were some very beautiful rolling fields. Hard to stop and find the position to take photos though :-(

We got to Steptoe Butte around 8. There were a few photography groups staged out at different spots waiting for sunset. We went to the top, then came down to the tier below. One of the best days I have had on this trip. It was a 115 mile ride from Walla Walla to Pullman and I was apart of one of the two pacelines that made the entire ride, 6 people total. When we finally made it to Colfax, we were relieved to find a clean, modern hotel room awaiting us. I have to say, it was probably the cleanest hotel we have stayed at throughout this whole vacation! While checking in, we heard the receptionist tell 2 callers they were full. We were truly blessed to have found the Best Western Plus Wheatland in Colfax, WA when we did!
