At the Columbia River, we took state highway 26, as we wanted to visit Palouse Falls along the way. A few hours later, we arrived at the state park for the falls. ... We had dinner at the clubhouse of the University of Washington golf course restaurant. It was beautiful outside so we ate on the terrace with golf course views. Yum! The beginning of our last day of this journey -- we expect to get back to Kennewick today!

We started out the day with breakfast at the Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs. It was an adequate breakfast, although somewhat lacking in some respects (no cold cereal, no fruit, no muffins or pastries). They did have the fixings for making your own waffles, so we opted for that plus English muffins, orange juice, and coffee.
