Dreams of my Russian Summers
... at home - perhaps it has something to do with growing up with a Cockney accent. Next, I'm flying to St Petersburg to stay with Ludmila Vladimirovna and her son Sasha, my host family from last year. I then go to Moscow, where one of my good friends lives, then to Kyiv, where I lived during the summer of 2005. I'm then spending a couple of weeks going through Ukraine to Poland and then back again.

Why oh why no wi fi?
... around the island surrounding Vancouver island. It was incredible but freezing cold! We managed to see lots of Orcas (killer whales) and really found it quite magical and peaceful being out on the water. Trav tried his best to get good pics of the whales but they were so quick in and out of the water. Can't describe how peaceful the ocean was and how easily they glided through it. ... the Inner Harbor, we enjoyed the views of the Empress Hotel and Legislative Buildings and watching the float planes taking off and landing. Beneath the water's surface, the Undersea Gardens gave us a view of marine life living in the harbor. We also enjoyed touring the grounds of Craigdarroch Castle and the Government House.
Finally, we headed eastward along Beach Drive to the Victorian Village and beaches of Oak Bay and beyond.
