      There have been several times whilst travelling where we have wished we had more time somewhere, or where we are already planning on coming back. Every now and then this is extended further and we get somewhere we think we’d like to live. Vancouver Island falls into this latter category. We really enjoyed Tofino, and we also enjoyed our full day here in Victoria too, probably helped a lot by it being a gorgeous sunny day by the sea.

      ... and we met the bus driver, Gordo. We found seats three rows from the front. The bus picked up a few other people from a couple of other hotels and then we were on our way.

      We bussed to the ferry. The driver gave us an excellent commentary - he was very informative. The ferry crossing took 90 minutes and we found a good spot on the open deck for the journey. Vancouver Island was where we were headed. We bought a grilled chicken and salad pack to ...
