We booked a trip to Victoria and the buchard gardens with landsea tours. They picked us up early at 7.10am to make our way to ferry port in Delta. The ferry was about 1 hour 40 minutes. We stood on deck for a little while where we saw a bold eagle. It then started to rain so spent the rest of the journey inside. We were in Victoria for about 3 hours. We walked into ...

Next stop....Port Townsend, ...

... hotel not a bad scam if you ask me mind you it also meant we had longer to wait for the elevators. The room was huge and comfy so after a look around they went down for a drink and then came back and said we are off to dinner at a good seafood restaurant down the road, so we went out for a sticky beak and found the restaurant that was recommended and went in and booked a table for two and us and we went for a walkabout looking at the area and went into the tourist ...

... Buchart Gardens created in a disused quarry by Jenny Buchart, the wife of the quarry owner in 1904. It is absolutely stunning with the various areas of the garden planted out with roses and other flowering plants as well as enormous native and exotic trees. The photos will be able to do the place justice I hope.

The afternoon excursion was the exact opposite type of adventure...from tea and toast to salmon fishing at sea. We went out of ...
