    ... the 10th of July. Caroline had a walk around a shopping centre during this free wi-fi time but did not buy anything. We purchased some beaver tails which is a local Canadian snack which is a bit like a flat do-nut with your choice of topping. It is shaped like a beaver tail.     This is one of the iconic eating places in Victoria. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and soups to suit most tastes and budgets. We enjoyed a very nice lunch here with our friends.

    ... re Scott and Amundsen's Race to the South Pole. That plus the other exhibits of history and wildlife of this region were excellent.
    Aft John arrived home, we drove to Sidney for the summer markets. Lots of flower, food and craft stalls. This looks like a very upper class area-no multiculturalism in this seaside town by the looks.
    Overcast day and some rain but looking to have some sun tomorrow for Butchart ...
