... A long trip is another thing. Life, as we all know it, intrudes with increasing frequency. Bills must be paid, laundry and grocery shopping done, and things must be kept orderly and clean. Your RV microwave and floors get dirty just like the ones at home. But it's not as quick and easy to get things clean. Now where is my mop bucket?? Oh yeah, it's at home. Despite your best intentions and plans, you wind up duplicating things that will be ...

... areas. Today we joined a Ranger led hike to Avalanche Lake, but didn't stick with it for long. There were 33 people and half were children under the age of 8. Too slow and noisy!! I would recommend Budget and Apgar Village Lodge.

We finally got on our ...

... which was a 2 mile hike (hey no problem, we old "fats" can do THAT)...so off we went. It was about 2:30 when we started "Up, Up and Away" (you DO notice all these "clever" references to songs, yes?)!! So, it started out as a wooden walkway. Hey, this is great! As we continued forward, we soon learned that this puppy wasn't going for 2 miles...the trail was comprised for roots, rocks, dirt, and sometimes muddy under foot! And did I mention it went UP! ...
