    ... it was certainly a diversion on the map worth doing...if not for the Jacuzzi comment and golf course dinner alone!

    Setting off on another glorious day, it was back up and into the Sierra Nevada Ranges, then back down the other side and through the flat plains which was dominated by farms and ranches. What a place to live!

    We are still on our way to San Francisco and it is amazing how the countryside changes so dramatically. It's almost like we have flipped the page of a book when we cross the border from Nevada into California. It changed from the arid desert to beautiful treed mountains, a bit like Colorado.Quite a contrast. We stopped off in Reno for lunch and had a look around. The Place reminded me off a little vegas. Lots of casinos, shops. Not much ...

    ... Other than that I am doing really well. Overall I think that skiing looks much harder than it actually is. Ted's report: it was awesome, I got to 1 + which is more than 1 level. It was so fun, one of the best fun days. I know how to do my pizza, I don't cross my skis because that's and evil x, you make them nearly touch. To go fast do French fries, which is make your skis straight. Cathy's report: it was with trepidation ...

    ... our new car. The indicator light that went off indicated that either the gas cap was not fastened or we were going to explode. I did my best as usual to totally ignore it and blank it out of my conscious. I get this gift from my dad. One day when we were driving to school something major fell off the Yom Kippur Clipper.
