      This morning I flipped open the NB Touring Guide to see what there was to discover on the next leg of the River Valley Scenic Drive. There are covered bridges all over New Brunswick and so it was decided that we would go off the beaten path to see some of these. They were built with roofs and sides, completely enclosed to protect them from the elements!       Today, I met some Canucks that came down to pick potatoes. I sent Charley over to scout them out and meet them. I shared a bottle of Cognac with the adults and made friendly conversation with them in the Rocinante. They were interested in Charley's French origins. Drove Northeast up the St. Lawrence Seaway to Riviere-du-Loop, then turned southeast toward the very top of Maine.
