It was now the 12th and our flight out of Sydney was on they 16th! How I thought I might fit in a weeks volunteering within this date I have no idea. Fraser Island is only about half way down the east coast meaning we had to be selective on where to go next, so selective we only had time for one place. We caught the bus early morning and we're on if most of the day. We skipped lots ...

... to the guy you are diving with and in between his legs. At this point you're still not attached to him. That was making me a little nervous. You on two long foam black, one at either side of the plane and then 2 photographers crammed down the middle. I did think, if there's not seats left, should you really be getting in this plane! It seemed to take forever to get off the ground. The sky dive guys were having a laugh and a joke about one of them eating too much ...

My last blog left off with us headed up the coast to Bundaberg to see the baby sea turtles hatch and head to sea. That was really an amazing experience. We got picked up at our hotel at about 7pm and headed to the ranger station. They grouped us and since we ended up in group one, we headed straight out onto the beach. It was dark so we had to be careful and stay behind our guide since all sorts of baby turtles are scrambling down ...

19th March - We arrive in Byron Bay at 9pm and it is like being back in Fiji! Very hot and humid even at this time of night. We thought it would be fine once we got to our air condition room but no, five person dorm with a small fan that blew air no further than one metre. There was a nice pool within the hostel so we sat with our feet dipped in to cool down. After a quick call to Granny Smith to wish her happy birthday it was off to bed for another hot nights ...

... in taste and quality. The wine list was modestly priced as well and we enjoyed a bottle of Rymill's sauv blanc as well as a glass each of a Vasse Felix red. We went the whole hog by having dessert. I had a bread and butter Creme Brulee while Fletcher had a Creme Caramel accompanied by a mini sparkling white each. All was fantastic. and the bill was $60 cheaper than last night. I thoroughly recommend Muoi's Feast as a value for money great restaurant!!
