Byron Bay is an ex hippy settlement...well I say ex hippy, there are still a few old, original Byron hippies around! One in particular stood out for us. We walked past a man in his 70s dressed in rainbow tie dye, it looked like he had converted his house into a hula hooping school, and he was standing out on the front lawn looking very happy with the ...

... I also had the one of the most surreal experience of my life when I skyped in to Mum and Max's joint party. So bizarre sitting about to do a surf lesson in Australia and watching your drunk family dancing around back home. It was like watching a snapchat story of your families drunken escapades. Love you guys! Top moment was certainly Grandpa's dancing. Just majesitc. Keep it up Gramps!!!

Our plan to go to a rainforest one day was foiled by no one wanting to pick up a couple hitchhikers; oh well! It turned into another relaxing day, and we drowned our sorrows by sharing a 5-scoop gelato 'feast’ from the local ...
