After a late night in Malaga the night before, I slept in just a little bit the next morning. I had originally set my alarm to go off at 9, because my semana santa information said that processions started at 10am, and I wanted to catch some of it. Unfortunately, I accidentally set it for 9pm, so nothing went off and I woke up at 10.

... möglich, vorher Sitzplätze zu reservieren. So gab es zwar keinen Fensterplatz, aber wir hatten, da in der Notausstiegsreihe 11 sitzend, reichlich Beinfreiheit.
In Malaga angekommen machten wir uns gleich auf den Weg zum Hertz-Mietwagenschalter. Wir bekamen ein Upgrade auf einen Opel Meriva und 5min später waren wir unterwegs nach Nerja.

But it's what comes just before the top that is the most interesting feature here. The cliff above the viewpoint has a big hole in it! Presumably this is the Tajo de La "U" (from which this footpath takes its name) and you can see right through it down to the hillside several hundred metres below.

So it's been an interesting afternoon after a frustrating morning - short walk which is well worth doing!
