The first thing I noticed was that, Copenhagen is very clean! We were going to meet Ben, Wendy, Cindy and Gabs at noon at Amelienborg Castle for the changing of the guards. This castle is the royal family’s winter residence and a daily changing of the guards is a tourist drawcard. ... We had found a cheap game of Danish Yahtzee (Yatzy), so we spent our few remaining Danish krones and played a couple games of Yatzy while we waited for our flight back to Prague on Sunday evening.

I wouldn't say this was one of our more exciting trips, but it was definitely worth it. When else would I go to Denmark if it hadn't been for Ludovico? I wouldn't have made a special trip just to eat a Danish in Denmark...probably...

... huge sarcophaghi of varying degrees of elaborateness. Looking into one of these chapels reminded me of the scenes in old horror movies where the protagonist walks into a crypt filled with coffins. In addition, there are memorials in the floor, presumably with dead royalty under them. I could have used the guidebook, as I was curious about these.

... cuts through a 61mile neck in northern Germany allowing ships to avoid the rougher and longer passage around Denmark to the Baltic Sea. It was a nice slow cruise through flat lands bordered by tow paths. People were waving as we passed by. It was very pleasant and the day on the ship allowed us to catch up on some rest and enjoy the ship a bit.

The ship is really top notch. The food is superb and we are already eating far too much of it. ...
