This is a very nice B&B with friendly staff and everything a traveler needs. The room was clean and comfortable and although we were only there one night at the start of the tour I would gladly stay there again.

Getting there: a challenge in itself

Getting to Belize City from Santiago proved to be a challenge in itself. I found the route a travel agent offered us to be roundabout and expensive so we decided to fly to Cancun and then take a Tropic Air flight to Belize City. Our Copa flight left at 0:40 and came after a normal work day. Although it seemed to be the only flight leaving at that …

Thanks to sister Marla and brother-in-law Cory we made it to the airport in time to catch an early flight to DFW. Our original 7:00am flight was delayed and we would have missed our connection in Dallas. Luckily we got the last two seats on the 6:00 am flight, which gave us an extra hour in Dallas. We've flown through Dallas last two years on our …

... Belize Express water taxi we were packed like sardines in an unventilated room. It was hot, hot, hot! It felt good once we picked up speed and got a good ocean breeze. The water was clear and blue and I couldn't wait to get in it. After 45 minutes we received a drizzly welcome to Caye Caulker, the brother island of San Pedro. June was just the start of the rainy season and it came like clockwork. But, no matter! A little rain cooled things down and it certainly wasn't slowing us ...

... at the hotel and had negotiated a room change to a room with 2 twin beds instead of one small double bed. With the tropical Belize heat and no AC, we will both appreciate having our own bed. Especially after we realized that our room only had one electrical, single plug, outlet and it was so loose that the fan plug wouldn't stay plugged in!! (Even with my duct tape slings!) It was a tough decision - double bed with our own bathroom or single beds with a shared ...

... those years he's never gone without. The symposium "Pursue Goals That Can Help You Seek First The Kingdom" was really great to hear again. A great reminder of all the opportunities there are to serve Jehovah more fully. Afterward I got to help with the Placencia cleaning assignment. The family we are staying with made us dinner. They are so kind. Then I used their wifi to watch the December broadcasting(mine in Placencia is too slow). I hope everyone is doing well back ...
