This is a very nice B&B with friendly staff and everything a traveler needs. The room was clean and comfortable and although we were only there one night at the start of the tour I would gladly stay there again.

Getting there: a challenge in itself

Getting to Belize City from Santiago proved to be a challenge in itself. I found the route a travel agent offered us to be roundabout and expensive so we decided to fly to Cancun and then take a Tropic Air flight to Belize City. Our Copa flight left at 0:40 and came after a normal work day. Although it seemed to be the only flight leaving at that …

A call to Mari, and all we could think of was the bee suit that she had bought Zoe, (Mari is thinking of starting some hives here, so prepared herself and Zoe). It would ...

The speed boat ride was thrilling as we jetted up the river. Traversing the 25 miles up the river in just over one hour. The river was bordered on both sides with thick jungle overgrowth and the river ...

This bar has a very nice veranda overlooking a pool area with a pool-side bar and dining tables. I order a local beer, Belikin, along with some fried fish. As I relax after the long process of arriving, a full moon rises over the ocean. Welcome to Belize!
