I had left at the airport and then spent 45 minutes trying to get the right airport shuttle to our hotel, which was a city bus that the hotel never mentioned, we got that information off of a local. After several hours of travel, we finally made it to our hotel, checked in and crashed at about 1am.
... Belgian waffle is the king. I dream about those babies. Needless to say I enjoyed it immensely and came home completely covered in powdered sugar. Happy girl.
Yesterday, we a coach tour to Ghent and Bruges. I would definitely recommend not doing a tour and just going on your own. Bruges is very pretty with lots of old buildings and canals. Definitely lots of places to poke around in, but it is extremely touristy. If that's what you're up for, knock your socks ...
