... only went once a day. It connected with the only train north to Vermont so we were concerned we were going to be stranded in Springfield. Ended up asking at the Amtrak Boston office and the station manager spent about 20 minutes checking timetables and even trying to get on to Greyhound buses for us. ... eerie. I love knowing that it is still there and that I will always be a part of that community but I also noticed that I no longer felt that I belonged there all year-round.

Leaving Massachusetts, I finally felt ready to start the next chapter of my life.

Thank you Holy Cross Class of 2014! I look forward to seeing many of you when I get back in May!

Six and 1/2 hour drive...not too bad. we stayed on the American side which is a state park. Lots of walking but we hopped a trolley cuz we got totally lost. Beautiful grounds but lots of construction going on. We were able to get real close to the falls from this side. Canadian side is more manicured and has lots of shops and restaurants. There were fireworks right outside our bedroom window that looked like they were coming right at us. ...

Since we were only an hour from Foxborough, MA....we just had to go to Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar."

I can't believe this heat. I came to New England to get away from the FL heat and it's following us. Everyone is talking about the heat wave is nothing like they have seen in 10 years.......go figure.
