... pill and slept solidly until 3.30am and then dosed the rest. Up for an early brekkie (Sarah they had an industrial strength nutribullet to juice a selection of fruit & veg) which was yummy and then off walking to Kings Park & the Botanical Gardens via the Swan River walkway, well that was difficult as they are digging up and redeveloping half of Perth harbour at present and have forgotten to consider rerouting the pedestrians through it. we took ...

... on Highway 116 are about 30-60km apart, but we have the misfortune to land in Moora, our lunch destination, on one of the three or four days a year when they close for a race meeting. The petrol station is open (thankfully) but every food outlet had the shutters up! ... For dinner we repair to Little Creatures which is a waterfront pub cum brewery cum restaurant, where we have some quite flavoursome (if still a bit gassy) local beer plus good food. It falls pleasantly cool with the dusk where we are sitting outside. ... but one thing that was clear was red wine was not a favourite of mine, regardless of what bottle it came out of.

Our destination was the “Sandalford Winery” which took around and hour and a half to reach and we passed a number of sights along the Swan River including the WACA building, Crown Casino, Perth Stadium, a couple of racetracks, a number of ducklings as well as a black swan which the river itself was named after by Dutch navigators.
