After a half day of packing for me and three weeks packing for G, we have an afternoon flight out of Perth, 10 hours headed to Dubai. BORING. I had thought it would be great, watch some movies, read my new book, have a few G+Ts, lovely. No I didn't watch a movie, I played some Candy Crush, tried some yoga positions to find a sleep solution (fail) and felt ill.

So glad to have a break overnight in Dubai ...

It was my first time to drive across Australia, first time in every
single country I visited, first time travelling alone, first time
travelling without plans, first time being away from home for so long,
first time trying to learn another language, and first time writing a

... Outside the library during the day staff bring out bean chairs to the grass area for students to sit and relax. Most of the buildings were constructed in the 60's, but many have been given "face lifts." They utilize a lot of color and appear more modern. ... was only open on a Friday and Saturday night. Also they have to do frequent sound checks to make sure the decibel levels are not exceeded. That was all good news to us and the apartment is now looking really promising. We all roared back to the train station to try and pick up the last buses home.
