Sun,Sea and splashes!!!....and little penguins!!

... for about 30mins before just in time to see the sun slowly set over the beach and it was stunning will upload some photos soon!!
We ended the night on a visit to see Glen, Frankie and little.holly (Maureen & Philip) son and wife! Was so.nice to.meet and catch up!!

We then went home and played a game of.sequence which is.again a local Aussie game but ridiculously addictive!!!

Off to Rottnest island tomorrow on the ferry looking forward to.it :) ...

Flew to Portland, Oregon, and worked as a 'regular’ vet for three weeks in Tanya’s practice while she went to volunteer in the highlands of Peru. Prevented Tanya’s dog from dying after he ingested a peach pit. Flew to Anchorage, Alaska, and took an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime tour and cruise with my mom, aunt Mary and uncle Jon to Denali National Park and along the Alaska coastline. Fantastic.

... it apparently) and the engine died. Luckily it fired back up after a couple of minutes and we kept going. I think that experience gave us both grey hair (and wore out the van's suspension) but we can laugh about it now. The Daintree forest was amazing and we were lucky enough to spot two giant Cassowary birds.
We went to Cairns and hopped on an old pearling schooner, the Falla, to see the Great Barrier Reef. We did a couple of incredible dives then sailed back and ...

... Ivo caught some smaller but not really tasty fish and then Marion also gave it a try. There were some bites again and yes, there it happened: Marion caught her first fish! Due to the fact that the fish was not edible she continued hoping to catch one that we could eat. And believe it or not but a few minutes later she did it, she caught a nice bream. Shortly after Ivo also caught an edible one and so our dinner was sorted, the sun had set and after 4 hours of fishing ...
