    We leave our Super 8 hotel at Williams at just after 6am - no breakfast! We were too early for them!

    Arrived in colorado....ouray is much cooler, a mini switzerland....and very quaint. Went out for tea to 'the outlaw' a real darn tootin saloon... Had an offer i couldn't refuse..... It's the first time i've been asked 'do i want it dirty?'...... I said no to be on the safe side. Monkey agreed and helped himself to the margarita instead of my martini.     ... more and more wildflowers. We also got more views of the river, as well as a great view of the beautiful Twin Falls, white and splashing in two branches down the hillside. Soon we got to the meadow area, parked, and all climbed out of the jeeps. This place is always so beautiful, and today was no exception!     ... the car and wait to see if the rain would stop. Each time it stopped for a few minutes and then started back even stronger. It looked ever worse further north. We are not used to mountain driving so tackling the most difficult part of the road in the midst of a thunderstorm did not sound appealing.
