On the road again.... briefly

Well, today we had to say goodbye to our very convenient colonial house and move all of a mile and a half, maybe two, down the road to a new bed and breakfast.

Started out the day actually, again, making it to breakfast at the Regency Room. Good, as usual, but still not something I'd pay that much for if it weren't part of our package.

We got up for breakfast.

Then I went back to bed. Until after noon.

Checked in for our airplane.

Went to the Williamsburg Lodge for their brunch.

... museum and headed for Newport News to stay in their municipal park. It was located on the outskirts of town on the local reservoir and was a delightful place to stay. Deer scampered out of the beam of our headlights as we found ourselves a campsite in the nearly deserted campground. Piles of free firewood encouraged us to build up our fire and spend the night enjoying the ambiance, in spite of the road noise in the background.....
