We began he day with a transfer from our hotel to Universal Studios at 7.45am in the morning, I didn't even get a chance to sleep in!

We arrived at Universal Studios, After getting our ride passes we walked through and started at the bottom (backlot) of the park after going down 3 sets of escalators we were able to go and explore the Theme Park.

Hey folks, how has the week started for you?
For me it did with a visit to Santa Monica Beach. From L.A.'s Union Station I took the so called big blue bus number R10. The "R" stands for rapid as the bus takes the freeway between Downtown L.A. and Santa Monica. Nevertheless, the ride still takes about 75 minutes, but it provides you with the chance to see some more of Downtown L.A. I really did enjoy taking this bus ride.

I really loved Santa Monica in LA, California. It's on the coast with a lovely beach, a pier and Third street promenade was great for shopping, so many food options and street musicians kept us entertained. Buses were so cheap and took you across LA for only $1.75 (about £1.10). We spent our time well and made the most out of each day. HI Santa Monica was one of the best hostels we had been in.
