The coach journey was hard enough that we all felt a tad delecate but the fact that our driver spoke to us for the full 5 hours it took to get there made it all a bit more taxing! ... this weekend - one that I don't think we will forget. We are certainly very happy to be here, but as always are impatient to have everything sorted. It feels very strange going from the security of two jobs and a nice house to one job - all our own doing we know :-) No one said that it was going to be easy..................let's see how we will feel after being here for 6 months :-)

... W okolicach Londka spedzilem noc u znajomych Marcina (narzeczony Moniki) - Roberta i Kingi w Slough. Nie ma to jak tradycyjna polska goscina, dobre jedzenie i spanie w bardzo przyjaznym srodowisku. ... we went back to the room and drank more wine. Around dinner time we got a cab and took them to our favorite bar in Auckland where they make their own beer - yum. There was a band playing and we hung out there for awhile. Afterwords we headed across the street to the best pizza/Italian place and had dinner. That night both Moms were so tired we all hit the hay early.

It was Kawakawa that our bus driver found it difficult to find parking so opted to park in the
middle of the road on the train tracks. The only problem with that was five minutes later when a steam train was behind the bus making a lot of noise to get the bus to move and our driver had disappeared!

... Other than that it's just a case of waiting for more work to roll in. Luckily the cost of living is very low here, especially compared to London, so I'm not too worried yet. I will probably have to look further afield than subbing soon enough though so I may have to try some office temping or something. While this wouldn't be ideal if it keeps me here I'm happy enough to do that but in the meantime if anyone happens to have any publishing contacts for me they'd be much appreciated!
