The following is a chronicle of the second day of our bus trip:

We set out from Galway Saturday morning bright-eyed and bushy-tailed(ish). Our first stop was Dunguaire Castle, a scenic little place with some interesting stories attached. ... ate, and while playing cards afterwards. Late in the night, around 10pm, we walked down to a pub called The Grand that was playing traditional Irish music. Chris and I were chatting with a guy from the east coast of the States for awhile, and then headed back to the hostel around 11:30 to sleep. It's amazing how late the Irish go out... A lot of places don't even start playin music til 10pm... and then don't close til 2pm. When do these people sleep? I don't get it. ...
