... we got one of them fixed yesterday, but not until I had spent a good part of the day playing taxi mom, driving the girls to and from college, piano lessons, and piano teaching. But it worked out fine, and made me appreciate having more than one car).

Thankfully our home hadn't suffered any damage, although all the rain had caused the dead-looking lawns of September ...

Yesterday afternoon, I did a little research about the whereabouts of the cemetery where my ggggg-grandfather was buried, and we decided to go ahead and drive over to find it. Getting there was a beautiful excursion in itself although a bit of a circuitous route. When we arrived at the church we were excited ...

Pulled in around 2:30. Glad not to have another extended trip time anytime soon. We had a wonderful trip. Great friends to travel with, would definitely get the Special Ed Posse together again anytime, just not back to Alaska! Statistics are a bit sketchy, but by my feeble calculations, we did the following:

          Air Miles 5008
          Rail Miles 283
          Bus Miles 543
          Car Miles 1700
          Ship Miles 1240

Back to the store and then the motorhome. It wasn't as hot as yesterday so we did sit out for about 30 minutes then inside until early evening.

Time to start packing up for our last day or two on the road.
