... village area where there was a huge concert going on....all of our kind of music: music from the 80's, including reggae. Lots of flower-power people dancing up a storm. Was fun to be a part of that. Tons of little shops, outdoor market type tents set up to sell lots of things like crystals, flower-power clothes, jewelry, etc. Was a fun time had by all. Came home and crashed - completely exhausted.

Aspen Experience and moving on to Moab, Utah

... the moment we crossed into Utah it went up to 102, finally, 'cooling' down to 99 degrees by 7pm!!! We decided to stay in a hostel and the great surprise is it is air-conditioned! I am not at all sure that after taking Joanna onto Independence Pass she was as excited as I was to see Aspen! It has been many years since I have been back here. My memories are that I was happier living here than any other spot I have ever set down roots (of a sort of course).
