    ... later, I was in a car rolling over the Golden Gate Bridge and into San Francisco. Although I've now been here for a few days, I'm going to wait for the next chapter before I start talking about it. There is so much history to explain and the build-up to my return to SF has been huge, therefore I'll go into it next time.

    Meeting amazing people, fighting fire in the California countryside and three weeks in the City by the Bay. The non-skydive means nothing to me now.

    Matt taught Matthew and Dana how to prune. Eric was supposed to go to bed early and get up early, but neither worked out. Around 11:00 he came out for a final pruning lesson. He had been hearing from his son that to many buds were being left on the vines. So Eric had found a book and he showed us all a picture of a vine with only one cane remaining on each spur and occasional "replacement" canes. This is how I was taught at Clover Creek. ...
