    ... and even docks washing up on shore in Long Beach, just north of here. They were part of Japanese Tsunami debris. Some locals were dragging empty boat trailers and motors to the Long Beach. I wished them luck.

    ... landslide surpassing all others and moving 14 miles down the valley. The debris covered 150 square miles! People were evacuated to 5 miles! 57 people lost their lives that day! When you think of the magnitude of this explosion, it's amazing that many more were not lost that day.

    ... store fronts was an art gallery. The art was made from remnants of homes destroyed by the water. The artist actually tracks down and records on the remnants or debris which building they come from before turning the into art work. I was fascinated by this as the thrill of beach combing has been on my mind all day. (I wonder if it is because of all the sunami escape route signs I have been seeing.)
