... just about come to the end of our little New England tour and have travelled through 6 the moment we are in Newport, Rhode Island...home to some pretty rich folk and some serious boats!

The weather has been great, blue skies and sunny days so we have been blessed. Back to Boston tomorrow for a week then On to New York...

... joined us soon after, and we discovered that Larry was Secretary of the North East Grand Banks Owners Association, and newish members of NYYC. We spent a pleasant hour chatting about life, boating, Newport, and the club.

Newport is costal town to the south of Boston which used to hold the one of
the most prestigious sailing races, the America Cup.

We had actually visited Newport previously on the trip on the way from
Providence. Tamsin showed us the wonderful cliff walk which is
nestled between the ocean and the mansions of Newport. These were
built by the super rich of the 20th century and are modelled on
English mansions ...
