... We finally arrived in Edinburgh at 4.25pm. Geoff picked us up from the station and took us to Edinburgh airport where we picked up our rental car - a Renault Clio and we followed him back to their house.

We had tea consisting of pumpkin soup and oatcakes and desert with Geoff and Marion and then we talked a bit more before going to bed at 10pm.
