... Chapel. It would have been like stepping back in time, had every other shop not been a tourist trap bursting with tack to take home.

After a brief rest, we tubed it into the town centre, hoping to find some lively pubs, but being a Sunday the town was dead. We found an Irish bar with chicken wings so hot you had to sign a waiver before you could partake in the 12 piece challenge. I wish I had now. Instead we ate and drank and listened to a female guitarist sing ...

... and just invite themselves for dinner :-) So we ended up at 7 eating in the garden, drinking, smoking, chatting, laughing, until 3 in the morning! Great evening! :-D By that time I was on 48h without sleep, zombie-style :-)
A much needed lie-in later, we spent our 2nd day visiting the old town, the port, with a necessary stop to have my first-ever bite of lobster! The evening saw another gorgeous algerian home-made lamb tajine, and cupcakes, followed by girlie drinks ...

... und vielleicht auch schon mal so die ein oder andere Stellenanzeige. Vielleicht bin ich deswegen so enttäuscht, als sich die Fahrstuhltür des 15. Stocks öffnet und wir in einem Tagungsraum stehen, in dem eine Werbeveranstaltung für dieses Jobcenter läuft. Die Dame ist zwar sehr nett und ich höre das erste Mal wirklich englisches Englisch und nicht französisches Englisch, aber auch diese 3 Stunden waren für die Katz. Ich weiß jetzt zwar, was ich für tolle Seminare dort ...

... and I have to sort out an internet connection. My classes look pretty intense, especially the one on strategic studies. I think I might come to hate it, but we'll see how we go.

I'll be in Montréal until early May, when the semester ends and I go travelling down through Ontario. Hopefully I'll manage to get some weekends to New York and Washington DC in while I'm here.

But all up I've had an amazing time the last few weeks. I can never thank the Joneses enough ...

... just took a small path that eventually took us on to a main path. We walked up the hill for about 2 hours as a mixture of cyclists and runners zoomed past us.

IT was definitely well worth the climb when we got to the top there were amazing views of the city. We decided to relax a bit while we were up there so we found some grass and a park benched and settled in for our packed lunch (courtesy of the hostel breakfast!) it was a boiling day so we chilled out there ...
