    Canoeing on the lake

A travel blog entry by johncowell on Aug 07, 2015

Today Ruth and I took a canoe on the lake. We wanted to explore it more close to the coast. It was great fun apart from the burden on your shoulders. After an hour of paddling, our shoulders and forearms were worn out. We then had a relaxing afternoon by the pool, followed by a last supper at home before moving on to ...

I've pretty much been everywhere in Italy now that I wanted to go. For dinner I had sliced chicken fillet with a Parmesan cheese sauce with a "hint" of truffle and vegies plus the obligatory wine! I couldn't taste the truffle but it was so nice to have some decent meat. Very nice restaurant ...

    Bliss in Bergamo

... and knew I needed to eat it before I left Italy! Although we had arrived there around lunch time we decided to walk around and grab a gelato instead of sitting down right away. Gelato has my heart. Perhaps it was the lively street music and gelato in my hand that made me happy as can be. To get to the castle which houses all the monuments and various piazzas, you walk along the walls and get to see the entire lay of the town. It had major panorama potential. I am ...
