      ... was closed until 2pm, and it was only 12:30 when we got there. There really was nothing much to do there. It was a nice resort - the only one on Rangiroa, I think. It has OWBs and nice swimming pools, a restaurant, gift shops, etc. But all shops were closed at noon time. There turned out to be 6 or 8 of us there from the ship. One of the ladies spoke with the receptionist who was kind enough to call a taxi for us. We waited for a while, the taxi ...

      ... in South Fakarava. It was basically at a couples home. It was such a beautiful cozy setting. We had parrot fish, mother of pearl muscle ( which is what they use to produce the beautiful black pearls), lobster etc. Awesome! The funny thing about this place was that by the dining room table we notice ski poles hanging for decoration. The wife used to be a ski instructor in the French Alps! Ha

      ... We move onto the south end of Fakarava. These dives consisted of drifting though a channel between two islands. Wow was this a crazy dive! We start going through and half way we settle down, hang onto some rocks and then the show starts. Schools of sharks make their way through this channel and with the strong current they are able to rest. So there are hundreds of them (mostly white tip and grey tips) It was quite a site!!
