... the slowest internet in the whole entire world (such a first world issue) but we are ok!!!!!

Actually May hasn't been all that bad! Concerts in the park started last Sunday, which was a fabulous way to spend the afternoon with good friends, yummy burritos and a glass of wine. Josie started sleeping at lunchtime again, it was Mother's Day, a girls night out to celebrate baby Burrows and well..... in general 'Our Californinan Life' is pretty darn great!

We hit hit the ocean at Newport Beach. The beach is wide and flat and gorgeous. We head south toward San Diego. We are in and out of beach towns and ocean views. Lots of traffic lights. We as a team raised $155,000 for Affordable Housing, and my donors personally ...

    ... cart. Pretty swank.

The grocery store was tucked into this main street—not as large as our stores back home, but with plenty to offer. We purchased breakfast items, cheese, salami, bread crackers and lots of fresh fruit.

The skies were still cloudy as we walked back to the Del and had breakfast in our room. Our room, as most do, includes a nice little balcony, so we had breakfast there.

We had been in touch with our friend ...

We were up early again this morning to snow and ready to make our way down to San Diego. Pete navigated the icy roads out of Squaw Valley and on a 4 hour road trip to San Francisco. Fairly good trip and made good time for our flight down to San Diego to stay with the Michael Farrells. The kids were getting very excited about seeing their cousins again. All smooth and on time flight to San Diego. Lisi kindly met us and all ...
