      We had a 0700 start out of Blythe to beat the heat. Rode south for 35 miles (56 kms) before we hit a roadblock mounted by the US Border Patrol. There had been some flash flooding & there was water on the road. The Border patrolman told us the roadblock was just because of water on the road. We were a little suspicious of his story after the 3rd helicopter landed just out of sight further ...

      ... was long and leisurely, almost 2 hours, a bit too long. By the time we returned, the kids were asleep in bed, to our amazement. Normally, Mark and Cheryl fall asleep first. This may be the earliest the kids have gone to bed on the trip.

      A special shout out to the the Hoyne's who were married at the Del. I'm sure your wedding here was amazing. We miss you guys!
