... the slowest internet in the whole entire world (such a first world issue) but we are ok!!!!!

Actually May hasn't been all that bad! Concerts in the park started last Sunday, which was a fabulous way to spend the afternoon with good friends, yummy burritos and a glass of wine. Josie started sleeping at lunchtime again, it was Mother's Day, a girls night out to celebrate baby Burrows and well..... in general 'Our Californinan Life' is pretty darn great!

Approximately 50km before San Diego the traffic jam began which slowed us down and we started to realize that we weren´t going to reach the meeting point on time. It was such an exciting encounter because we hadn´t seen each other since we left Chili.

Ricky kept asking us what we would like to see and do in San Diego. ...

Some of these areas are amazingly prosperous. Other towns do not seem that upscale. I am guessing from the nearness to the ocean even those towns are quite ...

    ... cart. Pretty swank.

The grocery store was tucked into this main street—not as large as our stores back home, but with plenty to offer. We purchased breakfast items, cheese, salami, bread crackers and lots of fresh fruit.

The skies were still cloudy as we walked back to the Del and had breakfast in our room. Our room, as most do, includes a nice little balcony, so we had breakfast there.

We had been in touch with our friend ...

... game was over, they won, so all is good! Enjoyed a delicious sandwich there and walked through downtown to the Seaside Village on the water. Touristy area with lots of restaurants, shops, had an ice cream, looked at the boats. Huge naval and commercial ships, lots of sailboats. JD had a close encounter with a friendly parrot. Very pleasant afternoon there.. Long walk back and then home again. Good day.. Any beach day is a good ...
