... a Vietnamese themed dinner (sorry Linda, I can't recall the names of the dishes). All wonderfully delicious! Next morning, Linda whipped up an amazing work of art (see below) that Bon Appetite should be featuring. Wow Linda! You are a woman of many talents!! 2. Portland is known as 'Stumptown'.
3. Foodies heaven. There are over 700 foodcart vendors in Portland.
4.Portland has more microbreweries than any other city in the world.
5. At 2.5 feet in diameter, Portland has the smallest park within city limits in this country- Mill End Park.

The tour went for about 2 hours so by the time it had finished lunch had rolled ...

We are getting close, friends!

Just 5 more days until I take off for Cameroon for 5 weeks. I fly out next Wednesday, May 28th at about 10:30AM to Chicago. From Chicago to Brussels, Belgium and from Belgium to Yaounde, Cameroon on Thursday May 29th at 8:45PM (Cameroon time) which is 12:45PM Pacific Standard Time.

So... So long Seattle, you great little city. Off we three go by train to Portland... Passed through some suitably alpine landscapes and lakes - quite desolate and empty. However the main feature of the journey was the laughter and noise from a group of 6 middle -aged wannabe 'hip' women off on a jolly to P/land. They were drinking ,cackling, whooping continually for 4 hrs in their faux- aren't - I- hip valley- speaking accents where the use of 'like' occurs every 3 word ...
