... they were celebrating Saint Paddy´s day.

Oli picked us up again at the train station, but this time Alisa and Kristy joined him. So nice to see the girsl again, but it has been 10 years since the last time Marta saw them!
In the evening we had an all Australian BBQ with looads of food and looads of beer;)

The next day we did a bit of more sightseeing with Oli, Alisa and Kirsty. We went to a great viewing spot and saw a few very nice beaches. ...

... and lawns sit below. I will need to send pictures tomorrow. Ike met us and showed us in to a cozy room with a fire crackling in the huge stone fireplace, and an offer for hot coffee. Louise has let Jewel invade her kitchen, and Chile on buns, and Rhubarb pie with Strawberries (Like Mom did when she was here) are on the menu for tonight. We are surrounded with so may interesting reminders of the past!

Beside that, I´m going to have my first surf class this weekend and will buy my own surfboard soon. :-)

To end up with something more serios again. I have started to work a little bit on my thesis, but I haven´t got my office yet. Hence, I still have a good excuse why I spent more time on other things rather than on my thesis ;D

We rose at a leisurely hour crossing our fingers that the weather would be good - and it was! - so we took off first thing for the little beach up beyond the marina and took a refreshing morning dip!



And what is the best way to follow a spot of morning exercise? That's right - with a bacon and egg roll! Munching on that and a healthy smoothie, we then decided to make our way ...

Well, i'm pretty sure that this will be my last entry whilst in Newcastle with CVA, which is not necessarily a bad thing at all! I have only 3 days left of work this week due to it being Good Friday on Friday. Luckily, it's a particularly boring project this week in Maitland; cutting and pasting African Olive trees. All we do is cut down these african olive trees and them squirt poison on the stub to make sure it can't regrow as it's a weed that is speading at a pretty high rate. ...
