When we asked the guide who spoke broken English he pointed to the hole and said 'jail'- it was a torture room!     ... out for the week, and a couple from Australia on a 6 month tour of Europe. It was great touching base with them.

    Tomorrow I plan to visit Amboise but knew it was too far to reach today (France is huge!), so I made my way to Laval and have stopped here for the night. In my effort to loose one weight this trip I have stopped for a pint and a burger, not sure where I read about this diet but it seems very nice!

    Aurillac. You probably have never heard of it. In France we mainly (if not only) know it as 'the blue dot in the middle of France'. Blue in reference to the forecast maps.
