Originally today, I was travelling to Lisieux to visit the area where St Therese, the Little Flower, grew up. There is not a regular train to Lisieux from Rouen and you 'take your chances' when trying to book. Once I arrived in Rouen I attempted to book but the first available train was Thursday . . . I leave on Thursday morning so . . . no Liseux.

From the outside, the Jeanne ??? reminded me of an unkept greyish Chinese temple built in the 70s. The only accurate fact in that summation was that this church was built in 1975???

Except Emilie's dad's speech, which was in English, but this was incredibly brief in comparison to all the French going on. It was just after midnight by the time all of this ended before they started to set up the dance floor. Emilie and Jean-Marie had their first dance, a lovely ballroom number to ...

... the shops and harbour, then we spent until mid afternoon on the beach, it was great swimming and baking. We came away with some colour to our skin. Our next destination was just on the out skirt of Royan in a place called St Georges De Didonne. Our arrival was just like yesterday, taken through country roads and ending up in a not to sure area. But, as we mostly do, we set off pretty much straight away for a look and Boy, did we fall lucky with another good places. We were just a ...
