WE DROVE THROUGH THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS!

It was one of the most humbling feelings being next to such massive formations. It really puts you in your tiny human space. I can't even imagine the amount of forces that created these mountains... im not sure what else to say really. I was speechless.

Big day today, skiing at the A-Basin, unbelievably - given that today is June 1st!

It was a 2 hour drive from Fort Collins and passed lots of names of places that I am reading about in 'Bury my heart at Wounded Knee'. Mixed feelings about all of that, knowing a bit more about how the Indians were treated during the late 19th Century. On the way we saw old mines, and references to rivers such as 'Big Thomson' and the Platte, all of which feature in the book.

... had a mini mass. After church we picked up a couple of things from Whole Foods Market so mum and dad could cook dinner. They made meatballs, they were really nice.
