... people to perform!

I woke at 5 am, and was on the road by 5:45. I knew that it would be a long day and an even longer drive. I started the subaru across the Rockies in the darkness of the morning, while listening to a book on cd about President Eisenhower. I saw them making snow in Vale, Co; drove through teh Eisenhower tunnel; across arid Utah; skirted through Nevada and came upon Las Vegas which looked like a dirty town from 10 miles away. I hit it ...

Bike bars are a bar where up to ...

... The trick was all the earlier flights were connections, as opposed to our nonstop, and they all closed for check in/baggage check about 5 minutes after we got through customs. We made a valiant attempt to get on EWR-DCA-DEN, but there just wasn't enough time to get the tickets reissued. Resigned to the layover, we camped out in the family room of the United Club and watched pretty much the whole AFC Championship game. C was cranky, but finally said, "Forget ...

The Sixth Day (Denver)

... had a mini mass. After church we picked up a couple of things from Whole Foods Market so mum and dad could cook dinner. They made meatballs, they were really nice. Then we drove to a park with lots of Christmas lights and walked around in the cold looking at all the pretty lights. We drove back home and Skyped the family, it was really nice to see everybody and wish them merry Christmas. Everybody went to bed excited for the following ...
