... jacket. Since it is a rain forest, it is pretty much raining (heavy misting) the entire time and the ground are all muddy because of all the water in the forest. Some portion of the trail, I had to hop on to rocks or pivot on a tree to get over the mud. 30 minutes into the hike came a fork with a sign pointing out the trails; however, I was very distracted by a sound at a distance. I kept hearing bell ringing and I really want to find out the source on the sound. ...

... if I would make it back someday to be one of these people myself - it was quite a surreal experience.

We promised to cook dinner tonight, so we had bought a few things and a bottle of local cider direct from the producer. Well the cider tasted like sheep!!! Vincent decided the apples had been kept in the same barn as the sheep and that why it tasted like that, I couldn''t drink it but Rod persevered and did quite well.

... Pyrenees and this is the birthplace of Henry IV a land of history, gastronomy, wine, sports and culture.

Pascal was a little stir crazy from sitting in the car wanted photo shoots. The architecture here in the Pyrenees is really different to the south of France, it is close to ski slopes and really had the feeling of a ski town.

On this section of The Way we finally made some contact with other pilgrims and a couple of local folk. Prior to this, we were disappointed that the track was so lonely …. and the stories were beginning to be repeated!
