Had breakfast in conservatory. At 10.30 took part in the shuffleboard competition. Didn't do very well at all. It was a strange shuffleboard court. The board had a very different layout to what we were used to. The ten and minus ten scoring areas were reversed. Then went to the morning session dance classes for cha cha lessons. ... room above us.) Our table of 8 is made up of 2 English couples and one Scottish couple. Have great difficulty understanding the Scots - have to listen very carefully!
Meal was only average - wine a disaster - asked for 3 different ones from wine list - none of them were available! And it was day one of the cruise!
Went to after dinner show - very good - a comedian and singer.

The cabdriver was a pleasant young man in his twenties who chatted with us on our trip and recommended shops in Bornemouth that might be to our liking. The drive took about 30-35 minutes and cost 34 pounds for the 2 of us. He gave us his card and told us to call when we wanted to be picked up. He dropped us off in what they call the Centre of Town" where cars are physically blocked from entering. ...
