    The Belgian lady we'd met on the train the previous evening had been emphatic that we should go to Antwerp. This had been on our list to consider so headed out, inspite of the threatening weather.

    Well after a lovely night in a B&B in Ghent we headed into the city of Antwerp, This again is a beautiful old city but was more beautiful than Ghent in the fact that Antwerp was the Diamond capital of the world this is where all the diamonds are bought and sold and just trying to get into a store is a security nightmare on its own. We again arrive on the outskirts and have a walk around this area as there is a street here known for its Art Nouveau ...

    ... the ******* boy and i was hoping he would be in some sort of dress an not to disappoint me he was. then it was off for a wallk around we were not overly hungry so went in search the authentic Brussels cuisine and looked at all these eateries people eating and drinking Belgium beers and enjoying themselves when we spotted the food that took our attention it was SUBWAY.

    We had another lovely break with Carol and Geoffroy. They have moved back to downtown since my last visit and are now occupying the top two levels of a 5 floor house owned by Geoffroy's cousin and his partner. It was nice to sit back and relax once more. We watched many 3D movies on their new tele and did a little post Christmas shopping.
