... Even though I've had some good times smoking it, in my life it has caused far more tears than cloudy minded epiphanies. Amsterdam made me feel like an old cad. Old and boring. What did I like about Amsterdam? The people are friendly. It's hostels are expensive, but we stayed in a really nice place - WOW hostel which had craft workshops and served delicious dinners. The houses are pretty, in a similar way that the streets of Copenhagen are pretty. It has history and culture, ...

Supporters are separated by a double row of security guards, no controversial replays on field screens and all in full voice with their own particular chants .... W/B's being the 23rd Psalm! After match detour was made to the Dodford Inn (a pub at the back of Yvonne's place) Last drinks ...

I added a day to my travel itinerary. Meeting up with the infamous Ryan Bartek in Brussels today. It's day 1 of my adventure across Europe. Ok, so Brussels is a small labyrinth that completely screws with you and keeps trying to spit you into areas off the map. ...

... and then got back to Brussels by 6ish (oops).
That evening we saw what we could of Brussels (Mannekin Pis, Grand Place) and tried to hit up the recommended bars with their specialty beers. Delirium has over 2004 types of beer but was way too crowded so we popped in and out of there fast. The next bar- Mort Subite (Sudden Death) was also incredibly crowded but since they're known for their Lambic Blanche I decided to brave the crowd. It was worth it. Also note- ...

... a couple of almost empty bars. After sitting for a few minutes, I could see why these bars had few people in them; so many bars in Europe have it all wrong. They approach their business like they are decorating their knick knack shelf in their basement for one! It can be noon and they have house music shaking the foundations and the lights turned up! Their service mindset is, "if I pass you while ...
