As we wanted to do as many things on the "Maryland Bucket list" as possible, the plan had been to stop in Baltimore for crabs on the way back, but having just forced ourselves to have a 3pm lunch, that wasn't particularly appealing at the moment. I guess the moral of the story is that Ruth and Chik's pies can really fill you up! We made a quick stop in the park by the Gaithersburg Arts Barn, and finished our Maryland ...

    ... a double decker open top bus and I was upstairs in the open! The conductor passed out rain ponchos and we all sat there in the rain as the bus slowly moved through the traffic back to the station. Workers had joined the traffic, so was a lot slower moving than usual. Was good to get back to the station, change to a taxi and get back to the hotel. There's a grocery store next to the hotel that sells hot cooked food ...

    Our walk continued back to the Hotel. We stopped at Trader Joe's so that we could get some food for dinner. A "home" cooked meal and a glass of wine.....yummy.... Then another walk through Foggy Bottom............

    Back at the hotel now, planning our day of exploring for tomorrow. Off to Virginia, to the National Cemetery.
